Meet the Switzer family! You can read more about the Switzer’s story on the Switzer’s Authentic Candy website here: http://www.switzercandy.com/about/our-story
Talk about having an awesome origin story of a local St. Louis family company! I LOVE this kind of stuff. I think that knowing where you came from is very revealing about where you’re going, and it has been really delightful to work with the Switzers and get to know the family a bit behind my absolute favorite licorice (the lemonade flavor is my favorite right now since it’s summer time!).
I still need to blog the Switzer’s awesome wedding that I had the honor to photograph this spring, but for now, check out this sweet little family session with their three Australian Shepherds!
The fabulous Stephanie asked me to do a session with a special focus on their old boy, Wylie, who is 15 years young. He still gets around and is so loving and so happy, but he’s getting up there in dog years and we wanted to capture his sweet spirit while he was happy and doing well. I think we managed!
Stephanie also had a handful of vintage frames laying around that I cleaned up for her and had some custom sized prints made to fit. The end result was fabulous, and I’ve really got to start taking photos of those finished frames and products for you all to see! I always forget because I’m always so excited to get them packaged up and back to their owners! I guess you’ll have to take my word for it that Stephanie loved them, they looked awesome, and that I absolutely LOVED breathing new life into the gorgeous frames. One of the larger photos was of the first one, the family!
And here’s the boys:
Here’s Wylie, their sweet ol’ guy…
I love his little tongue always peeking out!
After that, we had to get some photos of the boys doing one of their favorite things – playing in the sprinkler. This photo cracks me up!
Thank you so much to Stephanie and Michael for allowing me to come to their beautiful home and get these photos for them! It was an honor and a pleasure!
