Some people climb metaphorical mountains. Other people climb literal mountains. Some people do both.
Meet the Switzer family! You can read more about the Switzer’s story on the Switzer’s Authentic Candy website here: http://www.switzercandy.com/about/our-story Talk about having an awesome origin story of a local St. Louis family company! I LOVE this kind of stuff. I think that knowing where you came from is very revealing about where you’re going, and it has been really delightful… Keep Reading
How gorgeous is this baby boy?!?!? His little mohawk, gorgeous skin, barely-there little grin here, and his little thumbs up – so precious! Once upon a time I thought I would only be a newborn photographer, and sessions like this are why. Lincoln was perfect. Sweet, snuggly, and sleepy.
Kylie and her Mom and Dad are very special clients of mine, in that, they are clients who became friends. I love it when that happens! Kylie had a major announcement to share during her 3 year old session…
What’s cuter than a newborn? …How about a (newborn) boy and his dog? It’s no secret that I’m an animal lover, so anytime I get to incorporate pets into my sessions my day is a bit brighter. This lovely doggie is named Bailey, and she was the baby until her boy, Jonathon, came along.
When you think about it, extended family sessions are, perhaps, the most important kind of family session, and I am always so honored to do them. The opportunity for our entire extended family to get together and be photographed are typically pretty limited, usually, unless you’re one of those awesome groups that do family reunions every summer! If you are, I’ve… Keep Reading
Seven years ago (this May) I photographed Beth and Justin’s wedding. I have since had the honor of documenting their family as it grew – first to three with Madison, then to four with Aiden. It has been so wonderful to connect with them at least once a year, sometimes more. You can check out their session from last year here.
Baby Scarlett’s mom and dad won a gift certificate for a session with me at a benefit for a friend. I frequently donate sessions to causes that I believe in, for benefits, rescue animals, and silent auctions. Scarlett’s beautiful mom Ashley contacted me to ask about the session and lucky enough, Scarlett was little so we decided to do a… Keep Reading
That #twinlife – it’s crazy, right? But I couldn’t think of two people more emotionally equipped to handle it than these two amazing parents right here, Rachel and Joe.
I love this in-home documentary lifestyle session! I may be biased though, because Abby and Evelyn are two of my nieces. Abby is the youngest of 4, so when she turned 1 at the beginning of the year, my sister-in-law and I said “hey we need to do some pictures!”
Aiden’s mom Amanda contacted me for a newborn session at home, and I’m so glad she did! I love this family! From the second I got there I was welcomed into their beautiful home, and met Joshua, Aiden’s big brother, who is a very smart 4 year old. He gave me the grand tour of the house and introduced me… Keep Reading
I recently posted a photo on Facebook showing the first time I met Noah (outside of his mommy’s tummy!), which was in the NICU, and comparing it with one of the photos from this session, and I can’t believe how much this little miracle has grown!
This session was the sweetest. I headed out to meet baby Robby at his family’s farm during a late January day. It was cold with slight flurries, but then the sun came out when I got there and and streamed in his nursery window (as you can see in some of the images below!).
Meet Lauren, Ryan, and Kylie. These folks are super special to me, and have been on my website a TON of times, though now that this one is new, this is their first post here. I met Ryan and Lauren when they were engaged and they hired me to be their wedding photographer back in 2010, and then we did… Keep Reading
I get a lot of questions about this project, so I thought it might be most helpful to write up a little explanation for everyone about what it is and why I support and participate in it. The I’m a Rescuer project is a fundraising event in the form of a photography gallery show, organized annually by a group of volunteer… Keep Reading
This has been a crazy year! 2016 was full of surprises. It seemed to be a year of tearing down old walls to make way for new expansion, an emptying of the old baggage to clear space for what’s coming.
You cannot see this baby and not smile. Go on. You can try. I dare you. Triple dog dare you!
These people are my heart. Tiffany is one of my closest friends, basically my sister. We’ve known each other since elementary school/middle school. She has been my most fervent cheerleader and source of support since I ventured out on my own as a photographer, which is more appreciated than she knows. She is an incredible human being who married an… Keep Reading
Meet the Phillips Family! They were all so sweet. And the light at Castlewood on this beautiful November day was sweet, too! I’ve only shot at Castlewood once before, for my own kids, and it’s been a few years now. But I could definitely get used to it, especially with this hazy autumn light. So gorgeous. And a gorgeous family, too!
HOW GORGEOUS ARE THEY? I am literally hyperventilating over this session, you guys. As if it isn’t bad enough that I don’t live in Grafton, Illinois now, one of the most adorable little towns I’ve ever seen, this little family of 3 is SO ADORABLE that I don’t know what to do with myself. All the love!
